Jamie has nearly forty years’ involvement in football at all levels including 385 senior games and many interleague games. Prior to his appointment as AFL Goulburn Murray Region General Manager in 2018, Jamie held positions as an AFL Victoria Football Development Manager in the Central Murray and Central Victoria Regions.

His diverse roles in football include many years as a Senior and Senior Assistant Coach, Youth Coach and club a committee member. Jamie was an Auskick District Manager for 15 years and a Junior Development Officer for 18 years. He was the coach of the Central Murray under 15 V/Line Cup team for 15 years. SES volunteer for 13 years and Unit Controller. Jamie was the Welfare Coordinator (Councillor) and Youth Worker at Kerang Technical High School and is a former business owner.

League Operations Manager – Goulburn Valley League

Grant served in Victoria Police for approximately 23 years and joined AFL Goulburn Murray in October 2013. Initially commencing in a part time Administration Manager role, he has since been the Operations Officer for the Seymour District Junior Football Netball League and the Kyabram District Football Netball League. He took over the position of League Operations Manager, primarily administering the Goulburn Valley League, in mid-2016.

Grant mainly played cricket in his younger days, mostly in the Shepparton Cricket Association but also in Birchip and Bridgewater. He became involved in football administration whilst his son played football at Mooroopna, including roles such as team manager, Secretary of the junior club and General Manager of the senior club for four years.

Junior League’s Operations Manager – Shepparton District Junior FL, Seymour District Junior FNL, Goulburn Campaspe Junior FL

Bree joined AFL GM in April 2013 after serving as General Manager of the Kyabram District FNL (KDFNL) and previously on the KDNL board as Netball Recorder after completing a Sports and Recreation Diploma. Prior to this, Bree had previously worked in retail working her way up to management, before joining the team at a local indoor sports centre while volunteering with the KDFNL. In her time with AFL Goulburn Murray she began administering the Kyabram District FNL then moved to her current role as Operations Manager of the 3 junior leagues in the region (Shepparton DJFL, Seymour DJFNL and Goulburn Campaspe JFL).

She has been actively involved in the sporting world having played, coached and officiated Basketball and Netball from an early age including playing at local representative level. Currently, a member of the Tallygaroopna Football Netball Club where she plays netball and is also on the committee doing their promotions.

League Operations Officer – Kyabram District League and Northern Country Women’s League

Sharon is Shepparton born and bred.  Sharon started in sports admin in volunteer roles with Shepparton Little Athletics, coached junior basketball and held team manager positions with her son’s Notre Dame teams from 2008 to 2010 and then took on the role of Secretary with GVL club Shepparton United in 2012, a role she still holds today.  Sharon was awarded “GVL Administrator of the Year” in 2016.

She joined the team at AFL GM in 2017 as League Operations Officer with the MBCM Northern Country Women’s League and at the end of 2017 also took on the League Operations role of the Kyabram District Football Netball League.

Sharon holds a Diploma of Management, Certificate IV in Business Administration and Certificate IV of Training and Assessment.  Sharon is Captain of the CFA District 22 Headquarters Brigade and has been a volunteer firefighter, brigade member and was a 13-year staff member with CFA.

Starting out as an AFL Sportready Trainee after completing VCE, Jordan’s passion for football, promotions and people grew into 15 years experience in various roles in finance adminstration, human resources and marketing in the Shepparton and Cobram areas.

As a Mum of 2 and office manager of a busy family business, Jordan has also spent 6 years at club level as a volunteer, a committee person, aswell as coaching and umpiring netball in the MFNL. These combinations of life skills, club level knowledge and business experience brings enthusiasm and passion into Jordan’s role when she joined AFL GM at the end of 2018 as Commercial & Communications Officer.


Administration Officer
(Mon - Thurs)

Started working with GVFL in 2010 as Administration Officer and commenced working at AFL GM in 2015 when GVFL joined the AFL GM Administration Centre. Her role covers administration for both football / netball and recently included the inaugural setting up of the AFL GM Junior Netball Development Academy program.

Played 150+ games for the Shepparton Football Netball Club, including playing in their B grade premiership team in 2001 (1st ever premiership for the netball club) / 2002/ 2003 (co-coach 2003). In 2001 was fortunate enough to win the Sandra Cox League Medal along with numerous Best and Fairest Awards for Shepparton A and B grade teams.

Coaches her daughter’s primary school netball team and currently the president for the Guthrie Street Primary School Netball Club.


Netball Admin Officer

Peita Joined AFL Goulburn Murray in 2018 having previously operated a local Mooroopna business with her husband. She has also spent many years working at the Mooroopna Golf Club and also currently runs a family business in Albury.  Peita has completed a Bachelor of business in Human Resources.

Peita has played, coached and is still an active member of the Mooroopna Netball Club at both Junior and senior level.

Having also played in various associations including Mildura and Darwin, Peita is passionate about netball and promoting women in sport.

Cruze comes to AFL Goulburn Murray as our first ever Regional Director of Umpiring.

He has a wealth of umpiring knowledge and experience having been a previously listed VFL Umpire and an Ian Coates Medallist.

After over 180 senior games and five major league grand finals, Cruze has shifted his focus to helping improve and develop the overall umpiring fraternity across the Goulburn Murray region.

Began working with the GVFL in 2009 as the accounts and financial manager.  In 2015 commenced working at AFL GM when the GVFL joined the Administration Hub.

Her role includes managing all finances for AFL GM and overseeing the finances of all the leagues under AFL GM. Michelle has a Bachelor of Business & is a CPA.

Michelle has been involved in the Mooroopna Cricket Club on the committee & held the position of treasurer for two years.  She has also been involved with both her daughter’s netball teams volunteering & team managing.

Chops started his employment as a Football Development Manager (FDM) in July 2013 after crossing over from Greater Shepparton City Council where he worked for over 10 years. The role took in a variety of aspects including sports field management, working with committees of management and major events. Chops has also has a qualification in turf management where he spent over 20 years managing golf courses.

His football career spaned over 30 years and playing 400 plus seniors games. Playing reserve football with Sydney Swans, WAFL with West Perth, GVL Shepp Swans & Shepp Bears , O&M Wodonga, MFL Cobram & Berrigan, PDFNL Katandra and he even had a couple of seasons playing BARFL in London. In that time he was fortunate enough to play in 8 Grand finals and winning 4 Premierships. Wodonga (Blood Bath 1990) Cobram x 2 and Shepparton Bears , his losing GFs were West Perth, Wodonga and 2 with Katandra. To have 3 premierships in 3 different major leagues isn’t too bad, but he also has 13 club B&Fs and 1 GVL league B&F.

Still active now days playing football with the local AFL Masters team GV Giants, still managing to collect accolades saw him selected as ALL Australian 2017 in the over 50s whilst collecting another B&F during the carnival.

Trevor commenced his working life as a Secondary Physical Education teacher, firstly at Wycheproof (11 years), and then Echuca (10 years). He joined AFL Victoria in 2008, commencing as the Football Development Manager for the Central Murray Region.  Following on from the Peter Jackson review and the subsequent establishment of regional commissions, Trevor transferred across to the Goulburn Murray region in 2013.

A level 2 Qualified coach, Trevor has undertaken a lot of junior coaching including the North Central Schoolboys for four years, and at club level at both Wycheproof and Echuca.

Having played an integral role in the growth of Female football in the Goulburn Murray, he also coached the Youth Girls V-Line Cup Team for one year.

His one stint at senior level was when he returned to his home town of Yaapeet to coach their team (now defunct) in 1990. From a playing perspective, Trevor was lucky enough to participate in 8 senior Grand finals, unfortunately this only netted three premierships. He also represented both the Lexton Football League and Southern Mallee Football League, with both these leagues now integrated in to new competitions.

Daniel has a strong background in community football across the Goulburn Murray and North East Border regions where he has coached at Auskick level through to a Senior Assistant Coaching roles over the last 15 years.

An AFL level two accredited coach, Daniel has also had a long association with the Murray Bushrangers as a development and assistant coach along with roles in strength & conditioning. In addition to coaching, Daniel has been an active member of his local community through his involvement as a committee member for six years at the Benalla All Blacks, including two years as Vice President of the club.

Ruby started a traineeship as the Indigenous Development Officer at AFL Goulburn Murray in May 2019 which included commencing a Cert 3 Sport and Rec with the Traineeship. Ruby worked as a Health Assistant Nurse Trainee at Goulburn Valley Health in previous years followed by completing a Cert IV in Community Services at ASHE (Academy of Health, Sport and Education)

Ruby has been involved in Rumbalara Football Netball Club for a number of years before moving to Ardmona Football Netball Club playing A grade netball and women’s football for Mooroopna Women’s Football club in the early months of 2019.
