The 7th edition of the annual Shepparton District JFL v Bendigo JFL interleague clash will be held this Sunday 3 of June at Mooroopna Recreation Reserve.
SDJFL President Mick Betson promises a high-quality football spectacle on the day.
“The annual challenge with Bendigo JFL is a fantastic day with high quality football and close results being the order of the past six years” he said.
“With the inclusion of another Youth Girls Age group this year there will be seven representative teams from across all of our member clubs.”
“The standard of play is always very impressive, and with the inclusion of Echuca into the U13 and U14 divisions and more teams in the Youth Girls I look forward to seeing more players across the region being on show.”
“The day is also a selection trial for the AFL Goulburn Murray Academy squads for next year so we are looking forward to our junior talent putting their best foot forward.”
“All of our teams were successful in the Carnival at Rochester two weeks ago with U13, U14 and U16s all winning their respective Divisions and hopefully they will carry form into the games against what is always a formidable Bendigo squad at all age groups.”
“The day itself is also a great celebration of football with a fun family atmosphere and I encourage parents, grandparents, supporters and anyone with an interest in football to come along and see the talent on display from both Leagues.”
