Shepparton East Football Netball Club will be included in the 2019 Kyabram District Football Netball League Fixture, as their membership application was approved after the KDFNL and AFL GM met on Tuesday night.
“We want to ensure Shepp East can remain a viable club and continue to positively contribute to that community” said AFL GM Region General Manager Jamie Macri.
“It was very important to find Shepp East a practical and favourable outcome and thanked the KDFNL for supporting the application.”
Jamie reiterated “that it is important that the KDFNL clubs continue to be well supported and the League administration is given the necessary resources to support the KDFNL with the 15 club fixture for 2019”.
Newly elected KDFNL President Fraser Kerrins supported Jamie’s comments.
“A lot of work has gone into ensuring we reached a positive resolution as quickly as possible so all clubs can move forward and make plans for the 2019 season” Fraser said.
“Our competition finals structure will remain a final six played over 4 weeks with our Grand Final to be hosted again in 2019 at Mooroopna Football Ground” reiterated Kerrins.
Jamie also commended the Murray League.
“It is important to acknowledge the Murray Football Netball League and thank them for being able to provide a home for Shepp East FNC in 2018, it has been a tough period for the club and we are hopeful everyone can move forward into 2019 with some clarity” said Jamie.
