AFL Goulburn Murray are excited to announce a brand-new position within the current Administration Centre to continue to grow and develop football in the Goulburn Murray.
In partnership with the Goulburn Valley Football Umpires Association, the Regional Director of Umpiring will be responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of the AFL National Umpire Plan across the Goulburn Murray, including:
- Umpiring across Goulburn Valley Football Umpires’ Association Partner Leagues
- The development of umpiring at the community level
- The pathway for umpires into higher competition opportunities and;
- Other administrative or project-based duties may also be required from time to time.
AFL GM Region General Manager Jamie Macri feels that this is very exciting and big step for AFL Goulburn Murray Region.

The role is part time .7 and in recognition of the seasonal nature of the sports industry, working arrangements must be flexible to meet the needs of the Commission, the GVFUA and our stakeholders. Hours of work can include evenings and weekends, particularly during the season.
